Arambol Beach

Arambol Beach Goa India

Situated in the north of Goa, some 50km from Goa’s main city, Panaji, Arambol Beach is one of Goa’s less-developed beaches with no major hotels due to local pressures. As a result it has a more bohemian feel to it, much more so than in places such as Calangute, and is still popular with hippies. Accommodation is available at much more reasonable rates than in the more commercial resorts.

Arambol is unique in that is has both a rocky and a sandy beach with a sweet water lake right on the seashore. The 16 km beach has two distinct areas: Harmal Beach, the more popular of the two, is a curved stretch, vast in area and ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The other section is much smaller and secluded, a pristine, rocky circle of a beach, located closer to the lake and isolated by steep cliffs on both the sides. However it affords more spectacular views. The beach is most visited between December and February.

Arambol Beach is perfect for anybody who wants to be in a serene, secluded and pristine tropical atmosphere. The peace and tranquility of the beach is what that attracts most of the tourists to this picturesque place.
