Nestled in a quiet location, close to the Baga river, the Lazy Lagoon overlooks a small lagoon that meanders away towards Baga Beach 2 km away in the distance and offers a lovely view of swaying far-away palm trees.
The hotel is located in low-level, terracotta buildings. Interior floors are made of Italian marble while the rooms – just 38 of them – are contemporary Indian-style hideaways with dark wood furnishings and plush cream bed linen. All rooms come with private balconies or patios and have all wall-mounted TVs, tea and coffee makers and WiFi.
Outside, hammocks swing between palm trees and small wooden bridges weave through landscaped gardens to a smart pool scene. There’s an al fresco dining area that overlooks a peaceful lagoon, a secluded gazebo and a kidney-shaped pool that cosies up to a sweeping sun terrace and with winding walkways leading to the poolside restaurant.
