Sinquerim
Sinquerim beach lies 13km north of Panaji and adjacent to the beach at Aguada.
Sinquerim is home to Fort Aguada, a well-preserved Portugese port dating back to the early seventeenth century and one of Goa’s most popular historical tourist destinations.
The beach itself is one of Goa’s finest, with golden sands and sapphire waters that are ideal for swimming in. The long beach is ideal for walks to the more-developed resort at Baga. Holidays in Sinquerim can be taken at any one of a number of hotels, yet the resort’s principal activities are of a more relaxed nature: swimming, walking or just lying on the beach.
Sinquerim is part of a 30km stretch of almost unbroken sands, a picture-postcard tropical beach that has attracted tourists to Goa for decades with good reason. The powdery sand shelves gently into the clear waters, the sun is always hot, and the fort at Aguada Bay gives the landscape a familiar European feel.
